How Assessments & Exams Work
Your final grade is made up of three components totalling 100 points: Module Assessments (20 points — 5 points per module across 4 modules), MCQ Exam (40 points — 40 multiple-choice questions), and Oral Exam (40 points — graded on pronunciation, accent, confidence, and fluency). You need a minimum of 60 points to pass and receive your certificate.
As you progress through each of the 4 modules in your course, you will find a module assessment in your student dashboard. Complete and submit each assessment online — they are auto-graded immediately. Each module assessment is worth 5 points (20 points total). You must complete and submit all 4 module assessments before you become eligible to book either the MCQ or Oral exam.
Once all 4 module assessments are submitted, go to your student dashboard and navigate to the 'Exams' section. Click 'Schedule MCQ Exam' and select a date and time that suits you. On the day of your exam, return to the Exams section and click 'Start Exam'. You will have 60 minutes to answer 40 multiple-choice questions covering all course material. The exam is automatically graded upon submission and your score (out of 40) is recorded immediately. You must score at least 24/40 (60%) on the MCQ to proceed to the Oral Exam.
After passing the MCQ exam, go to your student dashboard and navigate to the 'Exams' section. Click 'Book Oral Exam' to view available time slots. Select a slot that works for you — your assigned instructor will be notified automatically by email with the Zoom link and your details. You will also receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link. You can cancel or reschedule your oral exam up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Join the Zoom call at your scheduled time using the link in your confirmation email. Your instructor will conduct a 20–30 minute spoken assessment in Edo, evaluating you across four areas: Pronunciation (10 pts), Accent (10 pts), Confidence (10 pts), and Fluency (10 pts). After the session, your instructor grades your performance and submits the score. You will receive an email with your oral exam result and overall course score.
Once your oral exam has been graded and your total score reaches 60 or above, your certificate is generated automatically. You will receive it by email and can also download it from the 'My Certificate' section in your student dashboard.
Assessment & Certification
The assessment consists of three components: Module Assessments (20 points across 4 modules), an MCQ Exam with 40 multiple-choice questions (40 points), and a live Oral Exam with your instructor (40 points) — totalling 100 points. You need 60 points or more to pass and receive your certificate.
You can retake the same level at 50% of the regular fee. We're here to support your learning journey until you succeed. You'll have lifetime access to all materials to help you prepare for reassessment.
After successfully completing your assessment, your instructor will generate your certificate. You'll receive it via email and can also download it from your dashboard.
